Questions & answers
Frequently asked.
Everything people across Haringey usually want to know before they book — the west-side hills, the east-side high roads, storage, business moves and the run across to Europe.
Do you cover the whole of Haringey?
Yes — every Haringey postcode, N4 through to N22. The leafy west (Muswell Hill, Highgate, Crouch End, Hornsey, Alexandra Palace) and the busy east (Wood Green, Tottenham, Harringay, Seven Sisters, Finsbury Park). Different ends of the borough move differently, and we plan for both.
There is no tube in Muswell Hill — does that affect my move?
Only in that it makes parking and access the thing to get right, which we do anyway. Muswell Hill and Crouch End are hilly, the roads are narrow and parking is controlled, so we work out where the van goes and whether a bay suspension helps before the day.
Can you handle a Victorian conversion flat on the Harringay Ladder?
All the time. The Ladder streets off Green Lanes are wall-to-wall Edwardian conversions — first and second-floor flats, narrow halls, tight kerbs. We plan the carry, protect the stairs, and sort parking so the van sits close.
Do you do man-and-van and small moves, or just full houses?
Both. A single item, a room, a studio-share shuffle near Finsbury Park — that is a man-and-van job, and we scale the crew and van right down. A full family house gets the proper team and a big lorry.
Do you move offices and shops as well as homes?
We do — right across the borough. Studios and agencies around Crouch End and Highgate, shops along Green Lanes and Wood Green High Road, clinics and practices too. We label by room or department and plan the lift around your trading hours where we can.
Do you offer storage?
Yes — clean, secure storage for the gap between homes, a renovation, or a move abroad that is not quite ready. It is one of our most-asked-for services in Crouch End and Muswell Hill especially. Tell us roughly how long and we build it into the quote.
How do you deal with the North Circular and busy roads?
Local knowledge, mostly. The A10, A105 and the North Circular shape how and when we move in the east of the borough, so we time loading and routes to avoid the worst of it rather than getting stuck in it.
Do you cover packing?
Full pack, part pack, or just the fragile things — your call. We can drop boxes and materials off ahead of the day, or turn up and pack the lot. Breakables, artwork and awkward items always get proper wrapping.
You mention Europe — where do you move to?
We run removals from Haringey to France, Spain, Italy and Greece, and can quote for other European destinations. Whether it is a full home or a part-load shared with other moves on the same route, we handle the transport and the customs paperwork.
How does moving to Europe work after Brexit?
Your used household goods can still move to the EU, but they travel as a customs consignment now — a valued inventory plus transit and entry documents. We prepare these with you before the van leaves and explain what each is for, so nothing holds you up at the border.
Why Greece as one of your countries?
Haringey has a long-standing Greek and Greek-Cypriot community, much of it around Green Lanes, and we get a steady stream of moves to Greece and Cyprus. It is a long haul, usually a shared load, and we are honest about how it travels.
How do you work out a quote?
It comes down to the volume of what is moving, the distance, and access at both ends — stairs, lifts, and parking on a Haringey street. For anything sizeable we do a quick video walk-round or a visit, so the written quote is accurate rather than a guess.
Are you insured?
Yes — goods-in-transit and public liability cover on every job, local or European. If you have anything unusually high in value, tell us at quote stage so we can make sure it is covered properly.
When can you move me?
We keep some flexibility for evenings and weekends, which suits people who cannot take a weekday off and businesses moving outside trading hours. Get in touch and we will find a slot that works — the sooner you ask, the more choice there is.
Do you move to and from the Tottenham and Wood Green side too?
Of course — the east of the borough is as much our patch as the west. Tottenham, Wood Green, Seven Sisters and Bruce Grove are everyday runs, with the same care and the same options as a west-Haringey move.
How do I get a quote?
Fill in the quote form with what is moving and the two addresses, or drop us a line. We will look it over and come back with a written quote — no obligation, no pressure to book.
Still have a question?
Ask us directly — we're happy to talk it through, no obligation.
